About Us

DiamondStone is an oasis of warm western style hospitality. It has 10 acres, sandwiched between the Little Deschutes River and the Quail Run Golf Course, at the gateway to Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Surrounded by open meadows and pines, DiamondStone brings its guests to the heart of the natural wonders and recreational opportunities of beautiful Central Oregon. Innkeepers Doug and Gloria Watt created DiamondStone to embody the "western feel" fitting of the natural surroundings of the Lodge, while at the same time giving their rooms every modern convenience and refinement. The result is a vacation experience with friendly, personal service, a charming, western atmosphere, and modern comforts -- all in a spectacular natural setting.

The Best of Central Oregon

Based on their extensive travels throughout the West -- from Eastern Wyoming to the Redwoods of California -- the Watts chose to locate their Lodge near the Central Oregon Cascade Mountains. This region provides an ideal balance of natural beauty, great weather, and abundant recreational opportunities. Indeed, DiamondStone sits at the hub of every recreational pursuit that Central Oregon has to offer. Within minutes of the Lodge, guests can enjoy golfing, downhill or cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, swimming, spelunking, biking, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, hunting, fishing, and the majestic beauty of the Cascade Mountains as they sweep down to the open High Desert.
