Crater Lake National Park

Only 75 miles, it makes a great day trip with DiamondStone as your home base.
The drive takes you through the spectacular volcanic scenery of Central Oregon brings you to Oregon's only National Park.
The deep blue beauty of the Crater Lake is truly a 'must see' for any of our visitors.

Newberry Crater National Monument

Newberry Crater is a fabulous place to play, hike, swim and relax.
Drive just across the highway from DiamondStone and east to Paulina Peak, Paulina Creek, Paulina Lake, East Lake, the Big Obsidian Flow, waterfalls and hot springs.

Three Sisters

Within minutes of DiamondStone you'll find the Three Sisters Wilderness area, home to the 'Three Sisters' volcanic peaks, each of which soars to over 10,000 feet in elevation.
The is a fascinating place to explore with its many alpine lakes, lava flows, and high mountain panoramas.
The Sisters were named Faith, Hope, and Charity by early settlers.

High Desert Museum

Get up close and personal with High Desert wild animals, birds of prey, Native American culture and Oregon history.
So large that they give you a 2-day pass, and a restaurant for lunch. Don't miss one of the finest museums in the western U.S.

Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory

A private, not-for-profit scientific and educational organization located close to DiamondStone in Sunriver, Oregon.
Interpretive exhibits, large scale public observatory, educational programs, botanical garden, and a nature trail.
